This collection of paintings and drawings was shown at Bodmin Shire Hall, Cornwall from March 28th – May 4th 2015

The essence, the spirit, of the place that is Cornwall: grasping these aspects became Tom’s aim in creating this collection. “The heart of Cornwall is not a place” a friend of Tom’s had told him when he mentioned the theme.

Even though Tom had moved to a central location in the Duchy eighteen months previously and had found fresh landscape inspiration in the Vale of Lanherne, he found himself agreeing with his statement. What you see is therefore the result of Tom’s pursuit of an in-depth view of the heart of Cornwall.
