This collection of paintings and drawings was shown at Bodmin Shire Hall, Cornwall from March 28th – May 4th 2015

The essence, the spirit, of the place that is Cornwall: grasping these aspects became my aim in creating this collection. “The heart of Cornwall is not a place” a friend of mine had told me when I mentioned the theme.

Even though I’d moved to a central location in the Duchy eighteen months previously and had found fresh landscape inspiration here in the Vale of Lanherne, I found myself agreeing with his statement. What you see is therefore the result of my pursuit of an in-depth view of the heart of Cornwall.
